WWF/E SmackDown! - April 25, 2002
This was definitely a neat show. Just some quick thoughts:
- Opening interview was pretty pointless. Though, I'm wondering how much of the sheep cheering Hogan was cut out.
- How many weeks of this show must we see mens' thongs? And I was also somewhat disturbed at the sight of Snow and Maven putting the AGD's trunks on. Also, it's always nice to see the Shooting Star Press again. I think the crowd really dug Kidman.
- Nice to see they're still continuing the Edge/Angle feud. Even though this "Smartass Edge pokes fun at Naive Kurt" storyline is pretty fun - I think Edge needs to quit dragging on the "You Suck" thing and find something new. That scene with him sneaking and switching T-Shirts seemed out of a second-rate sitcom. Anyway, I'm hoping for a 2/3 Falls or even a Ladder Match (TLC 4??) at Judgement Day. And I wanna see the "Scorpion Edgelock" again, dammit.
- Randy Orton ain't bad. Pretty cool to see Holly put him over.
- Albert - PUT YOUR DAMN CLOTHES ON - I'm beggin' ya. That match wasn't bad though.
- OK, Mark Henry's a strong dude. We get it. Though why did they have to sacrifice Christian to him?
- HHH/Jericho was a little dull until after the break - then it got REALLY good. Probably the best SD match in a while. I do believe this is Jericho's first-ever pinfall victory over HHH. So we got Jericho/Hogan next week, eh? No complaints from me.
Best show in a while (IMO) - even though the opening interview dragged-uh.
